As the body of Christ, the local church is to be comprised of “members” that make up the body. Immanuel Baptist Church is to be one body made up of many different members who use their individual gifts to care for each other and do the work of ministry together. (Ephesians 4:4-6; Philippians 2:2; 1 Corinthians 12:12-26).
The ministerial staff is called "to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:12). Our staff is excited and thankful to serve the Lord at Immanuel because we know this glorious mission of reaching the nations for Christ is not about us — it’s all about Jesus!
A Word From Our Pastor:
Jimmy's heart for ministry is to proclaim the Gospel while also casting a broad vision that sets the course for the church body to become a disciple making factory that impacts the world for Christ.
As Senior Pastor of Immanuel, I want to welcome you to our staff page. We are humbled and honored you chose to spend time seeing what God is doing at Immanuel. As you look at this site, I hope you see and feel that we are an imperfect people who are madly in love with our perfect Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We know He is worthy of our worship, praise, and our very lives.
Our worship gatherings and small groups exalt Jesus and allow the Holy Spirit to stir our passions and affections to Him. This in turn fuels our mission to take His glory and Gospel to El Dorado, Union County, and the nations. We want to be part of God’s plan to make disciples who make disciples.
Below you will see the awesome staff the Lord has sent our way to lead out in this disciple-making process. Their goal as a staff is to equip the saints for the work of ministry, and to be vessels for His Kingdom to advance.
If you are looking for a local body of believers who seek to exalt Jesus in worship and in our mission, please prayerfully consider coming to Immanuel for a visit. You have already been prayed for, as we ask our Lord to give you wisdom on what local body of believers you should become a part of.
Thanks again for visiting our site.
