About Our Pastor

Pastor Clark Whitney loves Jesus and loves people.

He’s all about three things: caring for folks, preaching the Word of God, and reaching people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He’s also the author of Traits of the Greats: Seven Essentials for a Life that Makes a Difference.

By God’s grace, Clark was saved at age six, and God called him into ministry while he was in college. He’s a third-generation pastor, and he’s thankful for the heritage of faith that shaped him.
Clark and his wife, Aaryn, are raising their crew here in South Arkansas—one son, Baylor Clark II, and two daughters, Elliott and Ruby. They love it here and are glad to call it home.
Before coming to Immanuel in 2022, Clark served in student ministry at churches in Tennessee, Georgia, and Arkansas.
He studied at Ouachita Baptist University (B.A.), Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div.), and Liberty University (Ed.D. in Christian Leadership). He graduated with honors for his doctorate and also teaches as an assistant professor at Liberty University.
When he’s not at church, you’ll usually find him with his family, hunting, reading, or grilling.
Pastor Clark would love to meet you. Stop by the Welcome Desk area after a Sunday morning service, or reach out through the church office—we’ll help you get connected.
