We’re making room for more folks across South Arkansas.
God has been doing something special at Immanuel Baptist Church. Over the past several years, we have seen incredible growth—especially among young families and children. We are grateful for how the Lord is moving, and we want to faithfully prepare our campus for the ministry He continues to bring.
After more than a year of prayer, planning, and discussion, our Campus Development Team and Church Council unanimously recommended a campus expansion plan, and our church family voted unanimously on March 15, 2026 to move forward with this project.
This project will help us better serve our church and community by:
• Expanding our children’s ministry space with a 5,000-square-foot addition that will nearly double our current capacity and provide space for additional ministry.
• Improving accessibility with a new children’s wing drive-through and additional restroom space, including a family/handicapped accessible restroom.
• Creating more room for discipleship by reconfiguring our library area to add adult Sunday school space and a welcoming coffee area.
• Supporting mission ministries through a new mission-focused out-building that can house disaster relief operations, a mobile food pantry, Operation Christmas Child, and other outreach efforts, as well as our buses and groundskeeping equipment.
The total project cost is estimated to be approximately $2.5 million.
Through careful stewardship, our church is debt-free and already has over $400,000 in our Faith Fund. Our goal is to move forward responsibly and borrow as little as possible, trusting God to provide through the generosity of His people.
Most importantly, this project is not about buildings—it is about people.
It is about making room for children, families, and future generations to hear the gospel, grow in faith, and be sent out to serve Jesus Christ.

As Immanuel's first pastor, Clyde Hart, said: "The future of Immanuel is as bright as the promises of God." Like Nehemiah, now is the time to "Let us rise up and build" (Neh. 2:18).
